My Jackie was diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma on 2/6/2020. Radiation treatment is necessary to ensure her survival, otherwise she might only have a year to live without it. She will undergo 18 rounds starting on 2/18.
After undergoing mass removal surgery on 1/30/20 for a mass that swiftly appeared, on 2/6/20, Jackie girl was diagnosed with Grade II Soft Tissue Sarcoma. After her Oncology consult today, we have decided the best route to go is via radiation therapy. With the required 18 rounds of treatment, there is a rare recurrence of this tumor coming back! However, without it, the survival rate is just about 1 year.
She might be 11, but mama girl is as spry as ever! She is in excellent health, which just adds to why we are going to fight and fight hard. She does not act her age and has been my absolute everything over the past 7 years. She has been my "Nurse Jackie" throughout my Lyme Disease and PTSD diagnoses. She has kept my heart together when it was breaking. At times, she has been the only reason I could even get out of bed, go outside, or simply smile because she, and she alone, reminds me I do have purpose when I've felt like I've had none.
I would be completely lost without my doghter, which is why I am putting my pride aside and asking for your help. Her oncologist estimates the total cost of treatment to be around $6,500. Jackie will be receiving radiation treatment each week day for 18 days starting Tues. 2/18.
I know as well as anyone times are tough, but sharing this fundraiser can help tremendously so please take a moment to do so.
From the bottom of my heart and soul, THANK YOU for all of the love, prayers, and positive thoughts you have been sending our way.
My girl is #pitbullstrong and cancer CAN'T take her!
