Orest Balytsky DMD and his wife Natalia Balytsky MD immigrated from Ukraine 20+ years ago.  Orest trained at Lviv National Medical University, Ukraine and University of Pittsburg School of Dental Medicine. He is a board-certified Endodontist with a private practice in Petaluma. Many close friends and family of Orest and his wife Natalia remain in Ukraine including their mothers ages 90 and 79 years old.

 We, friends of Orest and Natalia are working to gather Level IV Protective (Bulletproof) Vests and Helmets to send to civilian defense forces in Ukraine. Governments from all over the world are sending supplies and gear for the war in Ukraine. These resources channel directly to Ukraine's military. Civilians throughout the country have taken up defensive positions and need protective vests and helmets. Medical and humanitarian citizens in the country also need protection.

•  All protective gear we secure is going to the Consulate General of Ukraine in San Francisco for transport to Ukraine via Poland.
•  We welcome used equipment as well as monetary contributions for purchasing vests and helmets from manufacturers.
• We are in contact with local law enforcement agencies about gathering used equipment.

 100% of funds received will be used for this effort until the Consulate General of Ukraine notifies us it is no longer needed. At that time, any remaining funds will be directed to HROMADA.   Hromada (means “community” in Ukrainian) is a non-profit organization based in Corte Madera, Marin county, California Will you please consider joining in this effort?
