As many of you know, in January we lost our dear friend, colleague and neighbor, Lindsay Tanton. For those of us who knew and loved Lindsay, our memories are marked by so many of her signature gifts; beautiful and kind, quick to smile with a laugh to remember. Lindsay was remarkably considerate and incredibly loyal - loyal to her friends and community, loyal to her lifelong partner, Sheaffer and the sweet corgis they shared, and especially loyal to her alma mater, Washington College.
To honor Lindsay's legacy, her tennis coach from Washington College is organizing a fundraiser to benefit the school in Lindsay's name. Washington College will match all contributions up to $10,000, so any amount you are able to donate in honor of Lindsay will go that much further.
It has been a difficult six months without her but we are overwhelmed with the outpouring of love, support and memories each of you have shared. There have been beautiful gatherings and memorials hosted for Linds, but we know that losing someone so unexpectedly can still make us feel helpless and wishing we could do more. We're certain that this special recognition to the college she cherished is exactly what Lindsay would want.
Please contact Annie Birney or Caity Barnes if you have any questions or concerns.
All proceeds will go to Washington College and the memorial they are setting up in Lindsay's name.
