International Hair Design hosts an annual event for a cancer patient called Pink-A-Thon. This year's recipient is 9-year-old Nicole who has survived cancer once, but, unfortunately, has cancer again.
Thank you Patty and Nancy for your generosity.
Nicole is a beautiful and fun-loving 9-year-old girl. She was originally diagnosed with Osteo Sarcoma (bone cancer) and, since January 2019, she has undergone surgery to replace her femur, knee, and tibia with prosthetic bones. In 2019, Nicole has also undergone 24 rounds of chemotherapy. On July 31, 2019, she rang the bell on her last chemo treatment. This is usually an exciting time as it marks a period of recovery. Unfortunately, less than one month later on August 26, 2019, she was diagnosed with Pulmonary Sarcoma (lung cancer) in both lungs. This is a terminal diagnosis.
The family are currently in New York at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center seeking additional therapy for Nicole. Support International Hair Design in its efforts to ease the financial burden for this family during this challenging journey.
All Pink-A-Thon funds received here and through our raffles in our salon will be donated by International Hair Design directly to Nicole and her family.
