Hey folks , not too late to donate !
As an Immigrant I was lucky to come to this country under very favorable circumstances. Refugees today face a daunting landscape of obstacles as they seek to save their families from war, famine and discrimination. Please help me support Interfaith RISE who's impressive work in this field has helped many refugee families on thier road to self sufficiency. Interfaith Refugee and Immigrant Services and Empowerment (Interfaith-RISE) is an official program site of the US Committee for Refugees & Immigrants. We are committed to resettling refugees in central NJ, assisting asylum seekers before and after release from Elisabeth Detention Center, and supporting local faith and civic groups as they advocate for and work with refugees in their communities. Interfaith-RISE assists with housing, ESL, social services, education, medical assistance, mental health services, transportation, and supportive community integration as families and individuals journey towards self-sufficiency and independence.
Join us Sunday, November 12, from 2 – 4 pm
Our walk will begin and end at the Reformed Church of Highland Park. We will be walking around Highland Park stopping at various faith and civic buildings to learn more about refugee resettlement and to thank those who have partnered with us over the past year.
The Reformed Church of Highland Park is located at 19 South 2nd Avenue, Highland Park, NJ 08904

Interfaith-RISE (Refugee and Immigrant Services and Empowerment) is an interfaith initiative comprised of members of over 3 dozen congregations and organizations. Interfaith-RISE is dedicated to helping refugee families land on their feet in NJ.
The Walk-A-Thon will raise funds to help Interfaith-RISE directly assist recently relocated refugee families with housing costs and other essentials during crucial months of their transition. The coalition will distribute funds and call upon various faith communities to provide as-needed materials and social support for families.
