Relief and rebuilding efforts for those left with nothing after the apocalyptic devastation of Hurricane Dorian in the Bahamas, specifically in Abaco and Grand Bahama.
As the world watches in horror the complete apocalyptic devastation left behind by Hurricane Dorian, we here in the Bahamas, those specifically in Abaco and Grand Bahama are thankful for life and must now somehow begin to recover and rebuild. The damage is unprecedented and many persons up to the sending of this appeal are still unaccounted for and being rescued. As residents of the island of Grand Bahama and as Bahamians, we, the Freeport Anglican High School Class of 2004 feel that it is our duty to assist with the relief efforts in any way that we can. Therefore, we have established the 2G4 Initiative Foundation and we are asking you, our friends, colleagues, and those unknown to us to assist in whatever way you can.
It is second nature for us as an Alumni to come to the aid of those in need and since graduating in 2004, we have led various charitable initiatives. Most recently, we have successfully raised over $20,000 towards the medical costs of a double lung transplant to assist our very own #sclerodermawarrior, Class of 2004 member Charisse Bowe as she continues her fight. With each fundraising effort, we work to ensure that we do our part to assist those in need; classmates, community and country.
Hurricane Dorian has left many, including some of our classmates, with nothing and thus we are prepared to do what we can to bring short-term relief and assist with the long-term rebuilding efforts, not only for our classmates and friends, but for the entire Grand Bahama community.
