Hi friends, family, and loved ones near and far.

As you all know, making an album has been a life long dream of mine. Ever since the first time I was in a studio over a decade ago, I've wanted to record a full album of music that speaks to the heart, and to the world. For fear of sounding trite, I have finally found my voice singing baroque mezzo repertoire, and am recording four pieces of baroque music by Händel, Bach, Vivaldi, and Purcell.

I have the opportunity to record with L'harmonie des saisson, the JUNO (Canadian Grammy) winning baroque orchestra in September of this year. The Montreal based ensemble will be in NYC for the Westchester Baroque Festival, so we are keeping costs down by using them while they're already here, but to pay the best musicians means you don't skimp!

Your donation will mean paying the musicians, directors, and sound engineers a good wage. It will mean keeping some super sweet baroque music alive and well, and it will mean I have a high quality recording to send out to get more work as a baroque singer, something that has been a long time coming.

But that's not all! The second half of this album will be the unusual 10 Blake Songs for tenor or soprano and solo oboe by Vaughan Williams. These pieces are rarely recorded by women, but really really should be. Really. So I'm making it happen.

I have hooked up with the inimitable Matthan Black and his classical record label True Capture to produce the full album.

Thank you in advance for donating. It means the world to me, and to the classical music industry.

In love and song,

Rachel
