Aid for Ukrainians via "Odessa As It Is"

From Zhann Goloborodko

We are trying to secure funds for Humanitarian Aid to the war torn people of Ukraine. We need food, water, medicine, sanitary supplies and clothing. Families flee their homes with only the clothes they're wearing.

More Info

We are Odessa As It Is, a non-profit organization based in Odessa, Ukraine. Before the war, we were simply a source of information about Odessa and the surrounding region. However, once Russia attacked, we were barraged by one group of people asking for help, and a second group of people asking what they could do. We quickly realized we could be a force for good.

We started by collecting donations from locals and finding people who wanted to help. We then began distributing goods throughout Odessa. This evolved into various operations, like traveling to neighboring hotspots, bringing food to those who wouldn't leave while also transporting those who wished to leave back to Odessa. We are currently in desperate need for supplies, but more importantly funding.

We run soup kitchens and regularly distribute food, so we are trying to secure funding for perishable and non perishable foods, as well as clean water and food for babies. We are in desperate need of medicines for anxiety, blood pressure, insulin and much more. There are never enough sanitary supplies such as diapers, feminine hygiene, bandages, cotton pads, peroxide and sanitary napkins.

Any donations made will immediately go to the purchase of food, medicine and other essentials. People in hotspots are scared to leave their homes. Our deliveries are often all they have seen for weeks.
