I have injured myself, and my aide can’t take care of me herself when I can’t stand on my own. I have found a relatively low priced lift on ebay. This would help me maintain some dignity, at least a little longer.

On Monday night, things went wrong when I was getting back in to the bed, and I wound up on the floor. I had to call firefighters to have 6 people lift me back up. This lift a raise 700 pounds with a single person just hooking up the straps and pressing buttons.
The last time I looked in to facilities to take care of me, I got 30 solid “No” answers before giving up. People don’t want to deal with this much weight.
In desperation, we’ve cut my food to austerity levels, but the lymphedema is uncontrolled, and I simply don’t lose weight. It’s all a bit of a terrible situation.
So despite the fact that I hate asking for help, I’m still doing it. My life would be safer and I’d be able to do some things that I haven’t been able to since 2016.
