Snapchat doesn’t need any introduction; you’ll know how much gen z is dependent on this app. From sending morning face snaps to sharing updates of the last meal of the day, everything is being shared on the platform.

Since nobody can go like this for long, users take detox breaks from social media in their unique ways. Some abandon their accounts, while others remove toxic friends to achieve mental peace. If you are in the same boat and wondering how to remove multiple friends on Snapchat, we are glad you are at the right place.

Below we have shared easy tips to mass delete friends on social media.

How to remove multiple friends on Snapchat?

Unfortunately, you cannot remove multiple friends at once on Snapchat. That means you need to select each user to delete them individually. That said, there are other easy means to delete friends on Snapchat. Here we have mentioned some of them:

Method 1 - Delete your Snapchat account

Snapchat has no such feature to delete all friends at once. So we have left with only a handful of methods. Deleting your Snapchat account will instantly remove all the chats and users on your account.

If you are up for this option, then follow these steps:

  • Open the Snapchat portal

  • Tap ‘Delete My Account’

  • Next, click this link to proceed with the deletion process

  • Enter your account’s credentials

  • An OTP will be sent to your provided number on Snapchat

  • Enter the PIN and confirm

  • Now you will be directed to the ‘Delete Account ‘page.

  • Re-enter your account details and tap ‘Continue’ to complete the process.

That’s all. Your account will be deleted, including your chats and friends.

Re-gain your account after 30 Days:

If you change your mind and want to reactivate your account. Log into your account using the same credentials after 30 days, and you will get your old account back. However, your account will be permanently deleted if you don’t do it within 30 days.

Also, note that once you deactivate your account, Snapchat will not let you make a new one instantly with the same email address and phone number. You can use a different email address to create a new account.

Method 2 - Post a Story Alert:

Since you cannot just simply tell your toxic friends to leave your account or delete you and are too lazy to delete each person individually, post a story alert. Record a Snapchat story and upload it on custom, requesting your friends to follow you on your new account as you will abandon the current one.

Method 3 - Create a group of the friends you want to delete

No, we won’t ask you to clear your terms with your unwanted friends. Instead, we are providing you with an epic idea to delete all of them at once.

Make a group of friends you want to delete on Snapchat. Write a message like ‘this is my last message to you guys as I’m discontinuing my current Snapchat account’ and delete all the group members using the next method.

Method 4 - From Chat Feed

You can also unfriend a user on your Snapchat using the chat section. Here is how you can do so:

  • Open your Snapchat account

  • Swipe right to arrive at the chat section

  • Scroll down and long-press the user you want to delete

  • Tap ‘Manage Friendship’

  • Choose ‘Remove Friend’

  • Confirm the changes

That's all. Repeat the method with the next to-be-deleted user.

Method 5 - From Friend List

This one is the most popular method, but we still have mentioned it here in case you don’t know.

  • Tap the Snapchat icon on your phone

  • Log into your account

  • Tap the Profile icon on the top right side

  • Choose ‘My Friends’ under the ‘Friends’ section

  • Find the person you want to delete and long-press their name

  • Choose ‘Manage Friendship’

  • Tap ‘Remove Friend’

  • Confirm the changes, and it’s done

So this is how you individually delete your toxic friends on Snapchat. Scroll down to learn about the second method.

Wrap up:

There could be several reasons why somebody wants to delete a friend on Snapchat. We call it detoxification which is necessary for your mental health.

Now that you have multiple ways to delete friends on Snapchat clear your account and get rid of them for good. Luckily, Snapchat doesn’t notify you when someone deletes you on Snapchat. So we guess the universe is sending you signs!
