More Info

This fundraiser is for a Ukrainian family from Kyiv that lived through the first several weeks of the war. For the first two weeks of the war, this family hid in their basement with shooting all around. When the Russians started firing artillery indiscriminately in an attempt to level the city, the family escaped by car to Lviv. The first attempt failed due to massive traffic.  The second attempt was successful and they made it to Lviv.

They abandoned their car and took a train to Poland and then to Vienna, Austria.  A member of the family lives in Miami.

They eventually made it to Miami where they are currently.  They were granted a 90 day tourist visa and must return to Europe after 90 days unless the State Department extends tourist visas to Ukrainian refugees.

This fundraiser will help them afford an apartment in Miami, living expenses, flights/train back to Kiev and replace the valuables stolen by the Russians when they occupied their homes.

This fundraiser is being organized by Dan Rice, President, Thayer Leadership.  Dan has confirmed all these details and can be reached at drice@thayerleadership.com.  100% of the funds raised go to the family
