Hi! My name is McKinlei and I am raising funds for my co-worker, Morgan and her son Bentley. They lost everything they had when their rental was set on fire by her ex.

Morgan and her son moved to Wilmington in September of 2022 to get away from a bad situation. She thought that moving almost 5 hours away would provide a safe place for them. On Jan 18th, her ex found where she moved to and set the home she was renting on fire. He also slashed all 4 of her tires. Thankfully, Morgan and her son escaped out the back and just ran down the road until she could flag someone down. Unfortunately, she didn’t have rental insurance. The Red Cross has provided them with a hotel and a $250 Walmart gift card. Morgan hasn’t asked anyone for help, but she will need to replace some of the items they lost in the fire, find another home or apartment, and replace her tires. As you can tell by the picture posted, Bentley has down syndrome and he is the most precious boy in the world. Neither of them deserved this. If you are able to help them start to get back on their feet, I know they will appreciate it so much.
