The Black Student Science Organization of San Diego State University is raising money for Haiti through our annual talent show. Any donation helps!
Nine years ago, Haiti was devastated by a 7.0 earthquake that severely damaged the infrastructure, homes, and economy of the country. Seven years later, the country was struck by yet another natural disaster, Hurricane Matthew, a category 5 hurricane that swept through the Caribbean. This further impeded the recovery of Haiti and further damaged its economy. Haiti, though resilient, is one of the poorest countries in the world. This is our motivation to continue fundraising.
