My heart broke when I visited Ghana recently and seen the hunger. I want to start a program that will allow us to feed families. Please help by donating. I will be going there next month. I hope to make an impact. Thanks
My project “Hope For Ghana”
Please hear my heart and the urgency of my tone. There are people who are hungry and in need. When I traveled to Ghana I was not prepared for how I would be impacted by what I witnessed. In the midst of a seemingly joyful people were needs that I could not even begin to meet. Some hadn't eaten yet did not utter a word, but instead treated me with love and kindness. I knew from the moment I arrived I had to help, as it was a heavy burden upon my heart. It was so heavy that I gave everything I had including my personal clothing and items I brought with me. Prior to leaving the US I raised $150 this equaled a little over $700 in their money. I was able feed the elderly and a few families. I was limited in what I could do and had to choose who received food first. No one should have to live this way.
This is a long term project that will help empower the people of Ghana so they can give back to their community and help provide food and resources. We will do this by providing financial support and other resources to assist new entrepreneurs in starting and building their businesses. I believe by providing this opportunity it will have a greater impact on what we can do collectively. We are trying to do more than just feed families, but empower others there who can assist in providing food, resources and possible job opportunities.
We will still provide food for families we will do through “Gracious Word Palace” a church in Ghana founded by my husband Rev. Eddie. Currently he is the pastor there and he is serving the community. The church is working with the little resources they have, but they do not have their own church building. They are presently having church under a Canopy and are very limited in what they can do. This project will also raise money for the church to get a building. Many come to the church to find hope and solace. They cannot have church when it is raining as it does often. Please help as we do our part in empowering and changing lives.
