We are raising money to begin a program for homeless and foster children to attend events and clubs in the greater Seattle area. Help us give HOPE to children in need today. Share with your friends!
Homeless children lack opportunities to be involved in events, workshops, activities, shows, etc. that children who are not homeless are able to participate in on a regular basis. Recent statistics show Almost 40% of the homeless in the United States are under 18.
Statistics also show that 50% of adolescents aging out of foster care and juvenile justice systems will be homeless within six months because they are unprepared to live independently and have limited education and no social support.
This issue provides an opportunity for Stephanie’s Lifeline H.O.P.E to empower and improve happiness in the lives of children experiencing homelessness. Providing access to entertainment activities and events to homeless youth benefits the children and families experiencing homelessness as well as our society as a whole. Communities benefit when all children are empowered, happy, and cultured.
We will attend public activities and events with homeless children. Spend time with vulnerable and at-risk children on a consistent basis. Arrange transportation for youth involved to get to activities and events free of charge. Pay admission fees for children to attend events.
4 events/activities per month; 8-10 children per event/activity; Increased communication with children and families experiencing homelessness; Surveys/Interviews to determine increased happiness exuded from children participating in activities; Increased success and participation in school from youth participating in events/activities; Decreased participation in unlawful activities by youth attending events with H.O.P.E
