For many of our warriors this is a very special event because it is possibly the only time of year that they are surrounded by the overwhelming support of like minded families, and they don't have to experience the type of social pressure they may encounter in many other group settings. As parents we don't need to explain their story in an attempt to keep them from being misunderstood because we all get it. It's a wonderful thing. Anne has created a sense of belonging, and an extended family feeling when it comes to organizing the annual walk. Not only do we have the opportunity to raise money for Apraxia Kids and spread awareness for such a misunderstood diagnosis, but we also have the opportunity to pay tribute and collectively recognize each child's journey through it. We would really love to be able to provide some awesome activities for them this year and we would like to eliminate some of the financial burden on the coordinators who make this event possible. Many places have offered services at a discount but we cannot expect them to work for free. For those that have offered to help in the past we have organized this fundraiser for you to share far and wide! Thank you for your support!
