On July 27th, 2021, this sweet 4-month old kitten was ran over by a car and suffered a broken pelvis and broken femur needing immediate surgery to allow him to walk again, or he would be paralyzed forever.
On July 27, 2021 I rushed this kitten to the Vet who was then put under anesthesia, had x-rays, and was administered pain medication. However, his injuries were so severe that they were unable to treat him, as they did not have an orthopedic on site. I then rushed him across town the ER but was turned away due to limited capacity. I then drove him to another ER and was able to finally have him seen by an orthopedic surgeon.
I was given an itemized list of the costs for his surgery, which I have provided in the pictures. He is only a baby and a beautiful creature that deserves a chance at life. When I look into his innocent eyes, there is no way I would allow this little kitten to be put down. I named him Little Peter.Surgery is just the first step, he will have a long road to recovery which includes ongoing vet treatments, xtrays, and special care. He also needs food and supplies to make him as comfortable as possible to ensure a successful recovery.
