Homeless but Hopeful

Homeless but Hopeful

From Elizabeth Williams

One thing that I see everywhere is domestic violence and homelessness. I am actually a victim of both myself and they seem to go hand in hand. I want to let my fellow sisters know they are not alone

Update #2

I know that a lot of people don't think about homelessness or domestic violence, but they are both an epidemic in our country. I applaud the women that have the strength and courage to leave an abusive relationship even if they know it will lead to them losing everything. Most of us just want a kind word, a home cooked meal, a smile, or just someone to talk to. We want to know that we are not alone in this world because we feel like we are. It doesn't take much to let someone know that there are kind people still left in the world....

Update #1

It's still below zero here in Iowa, but I still see my fellow sisters sleeping under bridges, in the bus stations, and most are walking around with black eyes and broken noses just wishing they could take a hot shower....
