Dear World,

My name is Erna Julien, Founder of NC God, Inc., a global, nonprofit organization dedicated to providing affordable housing for the homeless and support for community stability.

We believe that every American deserves a safe and affordable home and that a home, along with employment and quality education, are the main components of the American Dream. While we can’t address all three aspects, NC God has decided to focus on helping the most vulnerable members of our society – the homeless.

The stark fact is that homelessness affects every region of the United States. It crosses all lines of gender, ethnicity and economic history. It’s important to remember that homelessness is rarely a choice. Women and children fleeing family violence; seniors; Indigenous peoples; people with disabilities; people dealing with mental health and addiction issues; veterans; and young adults make up a significant portion of our nation’s homeless.

Although the final figures haven’t been tabulated, COVID-19 has also made a tremendous impact on our homeless population. Thousands of jobs have been lost, and many people are only a paycheck away from losing their homes.

I am reaching out to ask that you consider making a charitable donation to our organization. Our goal is to build a home for everyone who is homeless in the United States. This is admittingly an ambitious goal, but with the generous support from you and others, it’s both possible and necessary.

We are initially launching our program in Florida. In addition to building homes, we will also address other needs that may impede the homeless from moving forward in their lives, such as career development and job training; drug and alcohol therapy; in-house counseling; and transportation to basic services. We also plan to plan housing for runaway youth and housing for special needs with 24-hour staff support.

We treat everyone with warmth, respect and dignity so that they can regain their self-esteem and confidence in their ability to shape a better future for themselves.

Please also remember that your charitable donation is tax-deductible in accordance with IRS regulations. We look forward to your support and your involvement!
