Home At Last

10 years ago I completed 6 months of chemotherapy. I’ve experienced disabling physical and mental consequences since. Cost of treatment and loss of employment created medical debt I am still repaying. In the last year my health had declined to the extent that on March 15 I told my former employer I was no longer able to perform my job. The following day my MD phoned to advise quarantine in view of Covid and my severely compromised immune system. 10 days later, one of my lumbar vertebrae fractured spontaneously.  I was unable to walk or take care of myself for months. I am only able to ask for your help now because I am blessed with angels who took care of me physically and helped me financially. One of those angels offered a place to build a permanent home.  Another angel appeared with $5000 to start the construction. Another offered to help start a fundraising campaign. Another appeared in the form of a talented young architect/builder who designed this 450 square ft. home which incorporates a combined greywater/rainwater catchment/underground water storage system to irrigate a small garden all enclosed by a 9 ft high security wall for under $30,000!  With this Love and encouragement, hope took root and the dream of a home of my own was planted. I’ve raised half so far and with your help to raise the remaining $15,000 I will have the keys to my new home by Christmas.
