Aniya is one of 4 siblings and the first to attend secondary school. She lives with her mother who doesn’t work. Her aunt used to work as a patient attendant at the district hospital and help Aniya’s family as best she could but since retiring has not been able to give any support to the extended family. Her interests are to listen to the radio, read, help at home, study hard. She wants to make her family and sponsor proud.

Tadala lives with her grandparents, mother passed away, father believed to still be alive but has had no contact with Tadala and her young sister Angellah aged 7. Her favourite subjects: english, biology, geography, Chichewa, maths and lifeskills; basically likes studying. She likes playing netball, reading, meeting foreign students at Thandizo clinic. She wants to become a nurse and hopefully give her sister the same opportunities she is getting through this sponsorship.

Happy New Year from the local musicians! We received some donations over Christmas. Thanks for that! We used them to buy a small supply of reusable menstrual pads for the girls that we sponsor, and the bicycle taxi round trips to the clinic for sick children.
Our sponsored high school students are all doing well – Tadala, Aniya, Evelyn, Tango , Samuel and Loveness. And Lazarus is waiting to see if he is accepted in college!
