High Ground Veterans Advocacy empowers veterans to become advocates and leaders not only in Washington DC, but in their home states and communities as well. Our next class hits DC in Jan 2017!
Thank you to everyone who donated in honor of Veterans Day! Your support has been incredible! -Kris
We've got to keep our Team healthy, and a $10 donation will pay for lunch on Capitol Hill.
If we can keep our stomachs full, we can keep concentrating on storming that Hill.
Help an NYC based veteran get to DC to learn valuable advocacy skills, network with veterans organizations, and engage members of congress.
Our training requires that the teams spend an entire week with one another. This builds camaraderie and helps us to support one another during periods of stress. Help two vets get to know each other!
Help an NYC based veteran get to DC to learn valuable advocacy skills, network with veterans organizations, and engage members of congress. Then, help that veteran get back home!
Work requires energy, and you can provide the fuel to keep a vet on top of their game for an entire week of training and advocacy.
For veterans living where mass-transit can't easily get them to DC to learn how to become advocates, a flight is usually the next best option.
For about $500 we can typically get a ticket for a veteran from the Midwest to fly to and from DC. Want to see a veteran from the country get to the Capitol for some advocacy training? This will do it!
Flying from Washington State to Washington DC takes a while, but the trip is worth it. There's nowhere else that a veteran can learn how to become an advocate quite like the Capitol, so let's help with this flight!
Most veterans have spent a lot of time eating things that most Americans wouldn't consider food. With this donation, you can be sure that an entire team is well fed for the duration of their training and advocacy week.
This will pay the cost of one hotel room for a week in DC. Our Advocacy Bootcamp requires that the veterans stay together for the entire week in the hotel so that they can become a close-knit team!
Since our inception in January of 2016, we've already had our first graduating class of High Ground Veteran Advocates, and our advocacy campaign for #Fairness4Vets has received attention from local, national and international media outlets.
We've fostered a bipartisan coalition of Post-9/11 Veterans in Congress who we work with to help our ideas become reality.

Now we're gearing up for our next class of High Ground Veterans Advocacy Fellows who will be storming the Hill in June 2017.
With your support, we'll help some great veterans meet their potential by training them as professionalized advocates. We'll connect them with lawmakers and congressional staff and help their ideas to become reality.
We're all about helping veterans to continue their service after taking off their uniform for the last time.
