As a single mother my children are the center of my universe. I’ve always worked my hardest to allot them the opportunities that I never would have been given at their ages, and am thankful for their presence every day. I’m especially appreciative of my son Michael’s contributions in helping raise and take care of his younger sister as a selfless older brother.

Michael finds his form of self expression in his high school band which he has been a proud member of since middle school. It was recently announced that the Fayette County Tiger Band would be planning a trip to Hawaii to play in the Waikiki Holiday Parade to commemorate the 78 anniversary of The Attack on Pearl Harbor of which Michael would greatly like to play his part. I want nothing more for than my children to travel, and experience different cultures, but I simply can’t afford to give me son all that he deserves.

Being the understanding son that he is Michael explained “It’s ok, Mom I’ll sit this one out” upon me breaking the bad news. I could tell how much it hurt him even though he put on a brave face. I love my children more than anything in the world, and want nothing more than to allow my son to compete which is why I would like to ask for your help. I’m asking for donations to help cover travel and transportation fees, room and board, parade participation fees, and school activity fees. We are hoping to raise enough funds by the September 9 2019 due date. Any amount will help and is greatly appreciated. Thank you from the bottom of our family’s heart for your support in Michael.
