Here to raise awareness for families living below the poverty level in America. In many US cities, shelters are filled with young children and their parents/guradians. 1:30 children experience homelessness annually. 51% of these children are under the age of 5. The primary cause of this is a lack of affordable housing. More than 5 million low-income households have serious housing problems due to high housing costs, substandard housing conditions, or both. There are over 8000 families living in dangerously overcrowded housing. They’re moving from place to place, night after night, in a constant state of fear and mere survival. The tpical homeless family is comprised of a single mother with her two young children.  The interrelated nature of domestic violence and homelessness is undeniable: 92% of homeless women have experienced severe physical or sexual abuse at some point in their lives, and 63% have been victims of intimate partner violence as adults. A domestic violence experience is common among youth and families who become homeless. For many, it is the immediate cause of their homelessness. 39% of cities cited domestic violence as primary cause of family homelessness. We don’t see homeless families or those threatened by violence on street corners or intersections, they are well hidden. Imagine trying to carry around 2-3 chirlden, along with arm fulls of your belongings, while trying to also scope out a decent, secretive, well sheltered area for you and your children to rest. Searching for somewhere your tired child can lay down their head to sleep. Or bathe and dress. The struggle is real and it hurts. The problem exist, and, maybe not today, or next week, but as ONE nation, under God, we can all do a part to put it to an end.

All donations received will be distributed among representatives for family shelters and used to buy toiletries, medical supplies, shoes, blankets, and clothing.
