Helping Adaptive Kids Move Beyond The Pavement

Helping Adaptive Kids Move Beyond The Pavement

From Caitlin Conner

It is our mission at Be More Adaptive to see the world become as accessible as possible. We have joined forces with GRIT Freedom Chairs to provide a GRIT Chair to a child with a disability so they may discover freedom.

Thank you to everyone who donated! We were not able to reach our fundraising goal for a full chair, but we will be taking every dollar donated and put it towards a GRIT Freedom chair. Since we couldn't give a chair to one child, we got with GRIT and decided to go in on a chair that will be specifically for children with disabilities to borrow for outdoor races and adventures. This way, more kids can benefit from the support we have been given. Because of you, we are able to get more kids off the pavement and chasing their dreams.

More Info

Be More Adaptive is joining forces with GRIT Freedom chair to help a child with a physical disability Move Beyond The Pavement. Our friend Erica Walker with Spartan will be helping raise funds for this as the lucky kid will get to race in the GRIT Freedom Chair in a Spartan Kids race. She will be completing the Northface Endurance Challenge on nothing but water for the entire challenge to raise awareness for children starving around the world. For each mile she completes, we ask that a donation be made to help a child with a disability obtain the GRIT Freedom Chair.

All funds will go directly to the cost of the chair and all donations can claim a tax write off by using Be More Adaptive's 501c3 status. Donors can deduct contributions they make under IRC Section 170. Our Public Charity Status is 509(a)(2)
