Help Women Escape Domestic Violence with Entrepreneurship

The purpose of this #GivingTuesday fundraiser is to help cover the cost of the women entrepreneur mentoring program by assisting women from low-income neighborhoods, domestic violence environments and communities of color to enroll using mentoring scholarships. #givingtuesdaybossbabesSB 

Women entrepreneurs were hardest hit during the height of COVID-19 pandemic. 25% of women owned businesses closed, which is higher than any other group. Since then, even in the 1st year 90% of these businesses have closed, and over-all 70% women entrepreneur business end of closing due to lack of mentoring, resources and low confidence.

Following research as noted by the 2020 U.S. Census, in Indiana only 42% of women own businesses. In Saint Joseph County, it's only 12%, Elkhart County 8% business are women owned. Saint Joseph County and Elkhart, Indiana has little to offer women entrepreneur microbusiness’ in business support, resources and confidence building activities. 

Women Move Forward Entrepreneur Mentoring Community is the solution helping women transition from domestic violence environments and survivors escape poverty through entrepreneurship to safety, economic, financial security through women-to-women mentoring.  C2YHWI mentoring program is results oriented and has a proven business success track record. 

C2 Your Health Women's Initiative Inc. Women Entrepreneur Excellence mentoring program is an 11 month every other week (22 classes) online program with a rigorous leadership track. The cost to graduate from the mentoring course plus certification for 1 woman entrepreneur is $436. http://www.womenmoveforward.info

C2 Your Health Women’s Initiative Inc. 501(c)3) www.C2YHWI.org was founded in June 2018 by Cindy Cohen. It is a mentoring program designed with nutrition in mind, fostering leadership potential, next step thinking, economic success through collaboration with local women-owned businesses supporting high school girls, college, and women who live-in at-risk neighborhoods through entrepreneurship. 

H.O.T. Hear Our Tears, (501(c)(3) recently partnered with C2 Your Health Women's Initiative Inc. forming Women Move Forward Initiative to help women who are either currently in a domestic violence environment or are survivors to secure economic stability through entrepreneurship. In this project, C2YHWI and H.O.T. are coming together to empower women living on the margins to take control of their household situations by providing them with access to support resources, financial literacy education, business skills training, mentorship, and networking support during and post Covid-19 period. www.womenmoveforward.com 

This mentoring program reaches out to women everywhere who have a business and are struggling or are looking to start one.
