Help With Medical and life

Hi there, my name is Derek Williamson. In October 2020, I was in a motorcycle accident, nearly dying. My right shoulder was shattered, and needed 32 screws and three plates to put it back together. My right hip was broken and needed a 19-inch rod installed to reinforce it. My head was severely impacted, and now I have memory problems. Shortly after my shoulder surgery, a significant infection started from the metal used for the operation to put it back together. I am a Type-1 diabetic, which makes fighting infection very difficult. In 2 years, I have had over seven operations on it to try and stop the infection, which didn’t work until recently when I found one of the best surgeons in Dallas.

I have been unable to get by financially, and my mother took me in to Louisiana, where I am staying with her friend. My mother is 70 years old and makes very little money, and things are just complicated for her, which is my fault, as she is doing everything, she possibly can for me. I wish to alleviate and help because of the stress I'm putting on her.

All this has sent me down a negative spiral that I don't think I can recover from without a helping hand.

I had no insurance at the time of the accident, and I was running my own audio-visual installation company and doing quite well with that. I could no longer manage the business and went broke very quickly. The accident caused life to get worse quickly, from having some money and decent credit to no money and horrible credit from having to live off of credit cards shortly after being released from the hospital. Over the last couple of years, my life has turned upside down.

I've had a lot of difficulties finding a decent vehicle to drive throughout all this. I bought cars that seemed ok at the time but ended up needing a pile of work and money, but I gave my all, even with an infected shoulder that ended up only being a waste of time and money.

I owe over 300k in medical bills, and I can't do anything right now to resolve the debt. I have lived with friends and family since the accident because of difficulties with making ends meet with little to no income. At the time of the accident, I was self-employed and running my own audio-visual installation company by myself, which was no longer an option after the accident because my shoulder was smashed, and my hip was broken. The top of my head was severely lacerated from being slammed into a part of the bike.

It's also tough right now living in Louisianna, and my doctor is located in Dallas and every appointment surgery requires a 5-hour drive which costs over 3oo hundred in gas and stops.

Once I get thru all this, I plan to start an electronics recycling plant because electronics are some of the most corrosive things found in our landfills.

I hope to achieve 30k to pay for a reliable vehicle, help with debt, help with dental work, doctor bills, diabetic supplies, and just general help in hopes of starting over again. I'm 43, I need some help, and anything will be much appreciated. Thank you
