Having been donated an old barn, we are trying to raise funds to turn a barn into a Church where our members can worship and commune with our Lord and Savior.
We are a small congregation of mostly elderly members who subsist on fixed incomes, mostly social security. Last February we lost our meeting place as our lease expired. The property elected to raise the rent to the point the location could only be rented as a retail business concern.
Through a great deal of prayer God has blessed us with four walls and a roof in the form of an old barn.Herein lies the rub, the barn is just that a barn. My electrician tells me whoever wired the barn either had a death wish or did not know anything about wiring a building. On top of the wiring issues there is the issue of no furnace, and since there is no furnace there is no insulation. It could use windows and needs new doors as well as interior walls. The Electricity is going to run $6,000.00 to $7.500.00 depending on lighting, the insulation is $4,730.00, $5,000.00 for furnace purchase and install, and $2,800 for interior walls. We are in great need of your help and we want to say Thank you and God bless you in advance for any and all contributions to our goal of having a place where we can worship our Lord and Savior.
