I am raising money for earthquake and tsunami that recently happened in Palu, Indonesia, my home country. All donations will go straightly to the relief center to cover their foods, drinks, sanitation and daily needs.
I am raising money for devastating, disastrous event that recently happened in Indonesia, my home country. Indonesia is known to its unique, diversity and one of a kind culture. It is located in Ring of Fire, which is where earthquake and volcano eruptions often happens naturally. On Friday, Palu, Central Celebes, a province that is located in Indonesia, was hit by devastating earthquake and tsunami. Up until now, it took more than 1,300 lives and it is still counting. According to The Red Cross, this disastrous event affects more than 1.6 million people. All infrastructures and buildings were washed away by the tsunami. After 5 days of the event, the searching of survivors and infrastructure relief are becoming more challenged. The sand and silt became saturated and it formed liquefaction that caused landslides and took buildings and infrastructures with it. The sun strokes people that are getting weaker day by day. The scarcity of running water, power, food and drinking water makes surviving is more difficult after this heartbreaking event. Damaged airport and severed routes are hampering rescue efforts. Thousands of people are trying to get out of Palu and nearby cities on other islands are building relief center and camps to help those who need sanctuary and protection.
I am an Indonesian student who lives abroad for quite some time now. My hometown is Balikpapan, East Borneo. Palu is not located on Borneo Island, but its distance is almost 400 km or 250 miles from Palu. Those who can still sleep at night, eat proper food, and have access to sanitation are lucky, including me. But these survivors are not. They are still seeking help and comfort for their families. In my hometown, there are some relief centers to accommodate those in need. Please support my campaign and share with your loved ones. All donations will go straightly to the relief center to cover their foods, drinks, sanitation and daily needs.
