Update #3

Well, long story short is that I wrote a proposal to the owner of this property, who has had it slated for demolition as part of a much larger development for over 10 years! He graciously granted us (and a team) THIRTY full days to selectively deconstruct any of the materials from the 6-7 structures, including the main two red barns, on this property. The 30 days will take place in April, and HERE's THE CATCH:
In order to make financial sense to the owner, we need to have the funds behind us this APRIL to have a CREW, a guaranteed minimum 1 week rental of a reach forklift, and the means to rent/buy reasonable means of transportation for the materials, plus funds for a small storage area/shop up north in Ferndale to bring the materials to! Our financial backing we had "dedicated" fell through, but that can't stop us from utilizing this time!

IF we reach EVEN JUST HALF OUR GOAL, we will have secured the equipment rental, a storage space, and the cost of labor (minus Micah and I of course) plus the cost of transporting a couple large loads and our VERY humble accommodations while on site. We will fulfill orders starting the 1st day of deconstruction, and just like all pre-orders of our barn wood, will pull and clean materials based on order-made priority .

We are adding items for pre-sale on the website all day long and it won't stop! If something catches your eye, ask about it! Call dibs!! What's so unique about this project is that it is EVEN NOW, still a working horse barn, so reclaimed original double door sets, SEVENTEEN 5-foot matching classic sliding barn doors each on its own 10' box rail with brackets and rollers, classic galvanized box- style authentic rails, rollers, and hardware, horse gates, hinged double door/gates, and full barn-length hay rails with hay trolleys are actually available, lovingly and carefully reclaimed, direct from the barn, and being saved DIRECTLY from the landfill! You couldn't make a better-feeling home reno purchase!

It's incredibly rare to come across a full door from a barn or barn(s) of this age, character and beauty! Nevermind a dozen of them, with four FULL SIZE sets of classic red double barn doors (including 24' of rail and all hardware!), tons of sliding and hinged single barn doors of ALL styles, shapes and sizes, all authentic vintage reclaimed barn doors! And did anyone notice.... the WINDOWS??!!?

Whatever you donate to us on here counts in FULL toward any pre-order or order of current materials we have available! Some donation levels even have bonuses! If these barns are making you drool, donating could make your buck go even farther!

We always ask for a 50% deposit on pre-ordered materials. Since deconstruction time is the WHOLE month of April, orders will be churning out like crazy! Don't let the item that stands out to you get away!

More Info

Micah and I may very well have been blessed with one of the greatest things on earth: the gift of (at least trying!) doing what we love and LOVING to do it together.

Last Fall we received an email from the owner of these barns and structures, curious about deconstruction vs. demolition. As they are the very last part of a 10+ year development project and time is an issue, we consider ourselves SO lucky to have been given the opportunity to bring a crew in for 30 days (in the month of APRIL) to salvage as many materials as possible before their inevitable DEMO in May.

So we consider ourselves the middle men slated to save this barn wood! The barns were built in 1925 and between all the main structures, including reclaimed barn boards, beams, dimensional lumber, and other items (like DOORS, WINDOWS, GRAIN SILO, and MORE!), we have the opportunity to save TONS of waste from the landfill, literally! Not to mention bring thousands and thousands of board feet of incredible old-growth reclaimed barn wood, 100% FSC certified, to the affordable, local reclaimed wood market!

We had a funded plan and budget but that, unfortunately, fell through today, BUT WE WON'T GIVE UP! any little bit helps!!

Update #2

Hi everyone! Well today's the update to BEGIN all updates... unfortunate circumstances have caused our funding to be compromised for this long-awaited project of ours in April. We couldn't bear the thought of giving up something we've put so much thought and effort into, and we know that with just a little bit of help and love rallied behind us and WITH us, we can save TONS of these beautiful barn materials from the landfill, and give them new life as beautiful, sustainable reclaimed building materials!
