Collegiate Challenge is Beaches Habitat's alternative spring break program for college students, and we are just shy of our goal to provide lunches for all of their volunteer work days! Can you help?
A sincere thanks to everyone who donated! We thoroughly appreciate it, and many hungry Collegiate Challenge participants thank you too.
We need your help! One of our favorite times of the year is just around the corner! Collegiate Challenge starts on February 26th, and continues for four weeks. Beaches Habitat will be hosting a total of eight colleges and universities (two schools per week) while they volunteer to help build homes for qualified Beaches Habitat families.
Students generously give up their spring break time to serve others, and for most days that the students work, we provide lunch for them at our OceanGate work site.
Through the help of some very generous churches and restaurants and the home cooking of some of our future homeowners, we are very close to our goal of providing all of the scheduled lunches for the month, but we are just short of our goal! Each day we will be feeding approximately 50 hardworking participants. We have two lunches left to provide, which we estimate will cost about $500. Can you help us?
Any and all help is appreciated, and all donations will go directly towards food costs for the participants' lunches. Thank you!
