More Info

The Grey Muzzle Organization's Hospice Grant Fund provides the financial support needed for loving, end-of-life comfort care for unadoptable senior dogs. Our carefully screened grantees take elderly dogs that are too sick or fragile to be adopted out of shelters and into foster homes. Our funding guarantees that these dogs can stay in hospice foster homes for however long they need - a day, a week, months or even years.

Any donations we receive over the $15,000 goal will fund medical care for adoptable homeless senior dogs in shelters and rescues across the United States.

The Grey Muzzle Organization improves the lives of at-risk senior dogs by providing funding and resources to animal shelters and rescues nationwide for senior dog programs.

We are an all-volunteer organization and we have a rigorous application process for all our grantees. We do not fund salaries, building expenses or administrative costs for grantees.

Grey Muzzle is a 501(c)(3) organization. Donations are tax deductible as allowed by law.

Please visit our website for more information about Grey Muzzle and the senior dog programs we fund around the country.

Thank you for your support. Your donation WILL make a difference!

Update #6

Will you be a 43? We need only 43 donations of $20 to reach our goal to give hospice care to homeless senior dogs.

Dogs like Claire, an estimated 14-year old Chihuahua, who was the victim of a Kentucky hoarder, living with 22 other dogs in two rooms, in knee-deep feces, for several years.

The Grey Muzzle Organization provided a grant to Blind Dog Rescue Alliance to help with medical treatment for her severe case of Demodex mange, moderate renal failure, bone disease and severe eye infections. Claire saw the vet weekly to manage her care and slowly her life was revitalized.

Give your year-end, tax deductible gift and help us reach our goal today!

Thank you!

Update #4

Say "hello handsome" to Sprocket, a 10-year-old cutie pie who found himself at Virginia Beach SPCA. After undergoing dental treatment and mass removals thanks to our grant, he was ready for his close-up as the model for their Adopt a Senior Pet Month poster. His charming good looks helped him and 19 of his other senior pals find their forever homes. And we covered medical care and adoption fees for all of them!

100% of your donation goes directly to senior dogs. Grant money never funds staffing expenses, buildings, or other such administrative costs.

We can't do it without you.

Make you year-end, tax deductible gift - only 14 days left!

Update #3

16 years old, blind, deaf and homeless last Christmas Eve, little Ivy's holiday wish for a home was granted by Senior Dog Haven & Hospice, Inc., one of our grantees.

When she was rescued, Ivy was given only a 10% chance of survival because of a severe case of pneumonia. Her foster mom spent the entire holiday nursing her back to health and here we are almost a year later and Ivy is doing great!

Here's the latest from our friends at SDH&H: "She loves to cuddle, gets excited for meals and adores her foster family who are providing her a hospice home to live out her days. When her time comes, she will leave this world knowing she was loved."

Our grant gave Ivy a second chance at life.

Your donations are helping more dogs like Ivy.

Thank you!

Update #2

Only 16 days left! We are working to create a compassionate world where every senior dog lives out their golden years, months, weeks or even days happy, secure and loved. You can make that happen. Go beyond the gift card this holiday - ask your friends, family and co-workers to exchange "charity gifts." You give in their name, they give in yours. The gift will not only be for you, but for all the senior dogs we help nationwide. Thank you!
