My name is John Price and I'm a native and resident of Houma. On August 29, Hurricane Ida tore through Southeast Louisiana and unleashed her devastation in all directions. My awesome mother (Dorothy) is a 70-year-old widow and her house in Houma took on lots of damage. The house is unlivable and to make matters worse, her insurance company canceled her eight days before Ida made landfall. She is devastated that her home is pretty much destroyed other than the outer walls. My mother is a strong woman and has rarely asked anyone for anything, but she needs our help right now. We are putting on this fundraiser to help her get a new roof put on her house and any additional funds will be to get a new roof on my sister's house, which is in the same situation (no insurance) and one block from my mom's home. If you can help out, please do. If you can only share this, please do. We are blessed we made it out with our health, but are looking for help from anyone in the position to do so. Thanks and may God Bless you!
