update: Dad is having more confusion over the last few days. It's been hard on him trying to understand why his memory and thoughts are hard to keep track of. I've been able to be by his side and comfort him through the hard times and I wouldn't be able to do that if it weren't for all your help.
As many of you know, my dad Geoff Larsson has been fighting stage 4 colon cancer for 3 years and the chemo finally stopped keeping it at bay. As hospice has come into the picture, I have temporarily been staying with him to help with his care, support and med management so it isn't all on Andrea's shoulders (who has also been struggling with her father's passing). Without me being here, he likely won't be able to stay home very long before having to go to a facility because it is too much for Andrea on her own. But if I stay, I can keep his wishes to be able to stay home and pass in peace.Unfortunately, it is a 24 hour gig and I can't really leave for more than an hour or 2. So trying to work part time here like I had planned isn't looking like it will work. Emory has been taking care of the kiddos on his own with very little time to work. I've had many people ask what they could do to help and as much as I hate doing this, it would be EXTREMELY helpful to be able to stay and keep his wishes.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated so far! It really means the world to us! Thanks to the help so far I've been able to pay some bills and get my poor car an oil change from all the back and forth from western mass to the cape.
