NROH has launched this fund to respond to the COVID-19 crisis by distributing hygiene kits that will include: N95 mask, sanitizers, alcohol-based soaps, antimicrobial wet wipes etc to the affected deprived communities.
NROH COVID-19 SUPPORT FUNDTARGETED AMOUNT-$10,000THE CHALLENGEThe COVID-19 pandemic marks an unprecedented time in modern history that will require the best of humanity to overcome. The crisis threatens everyone's way of life, but it is especially difficult for people who are already vulnerable, including those with pre-existing medical conditions, older adults, individuals experiencing homelessness, wage workers, and those with inflexible jobs. The Republic of Ghana has been affected by COVID-19 and as at 1st April 2020, there were 195 confirmed cases,3 recovered and 5 deaths.The Nkrumah Restoration of Hope(NROH)a US based 501(c)(3) non-profit in collaboration with its partners in Ghana seeks to respond to the impact of the epidemic in Ghana.NROH and its partners in Ghana would deliver a series of mitigation COVID-19 by NROH’smedical team, distribute face mask, sanitizer, hand washing soap, spray disinfectant andfree food to communities. Distribute personal protective equipment to health officers by providing medical support tools for each health worker, etc.SOLUTIONThe NROH has launched this fund to respond to the COVID-19 crisis. Awareness sessions will be conducted, where each will end with the distribution of hygiene kits that will include:N95 mask, sanitizers, alcohol-based soap, antimicrobial wet wipessufficient for people in needy communities who ordinarily will not be able to procure these basic resources they need to act quickly and protect the most vulnerable. Awareness sessions will includeCOVID-19 symptoms, how COVID-19 is transmitted, preventive measures, what to do if a family member displays symptoms, how to wash hands properly, etc
LONG-TERM IMPACTThe project will ensure the protection of needy people from deprived communities in the zongo communities of Kumasi, Ghana ensuring that such crowded places may not cause a national health crisis due to lack of basic hygiene awareness and preparedness if anymember catch the COVID-19.Your donation to this fund will help build stronger response capacities in the zongo communities in Kumasi, Ghana to be better equipped to fight the COVID 19.
