Update #2

As we approach the 1 year anniversary of Justin’s death, we thought we would share Justin’s life and love and legacy with you again.

Since our last post, Justin’s son Ayeson was born. He and Mariah have a life and home that are overflowing with love and family. Justin left Mariah with one angel, and then sent her one more. Stephen has joined our framily and we are so grateful for him.

Savannah, Lynden, and Dakota have settled into a beautiful home and life together. They are continuing to provide Lynden with all the love and care he needs, post-crash. It has been a long road, and it’s not over yet. But he has an amazing family life and his big beautiful smile is proof everyday.

Ayeson and Lynden are best friends already. Their mamas are putting their hearts together to create one giant tapestry of a family, with Justin as the common thread.

Justin’s Mom, aunt and cousin recently made the trip from California to Utah to finally meet Ayeson. Being born during a pandemic, in a different state, made it extra hard on that Gamma, but it was worth the wait, a thousand times over.

Some of you have reached out and asked if there is anything you can do to help. Our first answer is the same as it was just 10+ months ago ... honor Justin by LIVING AND LOVING. Be goofy. Be silly. Dont take yourself too seriously. Love others as if your heart might burst without them. And throw caution to the wind when it comes to matters of the heart.

Our second answer is that if you feel moved to help again, annually, etc, the fund is still open and functioning. Justin left behind two growing boys. Their mamas do an amazing job raising them, along with their partners and families, but it gets expensive. Any donation is a blessing, no matter the size.

Lastly, please get those pictures, videos, and stories ready. As we approach August 15th, we would love to breathe life into this page again, filling it with memories of Justin. He loved you and you loved him. We want you to share that with all of us. ❤️

More Info

Thank you for visiting our page and for donating to Justin's family. Although Justin lost his life in a tragic accident on Thursday afternoon, his family miraculously survived. They survived an accident from which CHP said no one should have walked away alive. His son, Lynden, suffered two broken legs. He is now in a body cast and back home with his Mom and her family. He has 4-6 weeks in the body cast, plus whatever physical therapy and recovery that will be necessary for a toddler to regain strength in his legs. His fiance, Mariah, has strength beyond measure. However, along with Justin's brother and parents, they are left with the task of unpacking Justin's life and putting it to rest. It's a very long road, and any help will make that road a bit smoother. Love fiercely. Live fully. And don't wait until tomorrow.

With love,

The Gile Family
