Bold Idea needs sponsors for program sites, and given Pariveda's involvement with the Rosemont Middle School program in the past, we are raising money to sponsor this this program site!
Bold Idea is a Dallas-based nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring students, particularly in underserved areas, and helping them develop programming skills.
A number of our Fins have consistently volunteered at the Rosemont Middle School program site - in Bold Idea CEO Robyn Brown's words, the Rosemont program has been able to continue and succeed because of Pariveda's efforts.
By sponsoring Rosemont, Pariveda will be solidifying a relationship with a local nonprofit - one whose message aligns with our core value of servant leadership, and which promotes mentorship and technological literacy around DFW - and furthering the cause of Bold Idea.
We'll be able to help provide resources & cover costs to continue this amazing program, and we'll be invited to the end-of-semester Demo Day, where students will show off all of their cool projects from the semester!
Pariveda Solutions has also generously offered to donate $1000!
"Volunteering with Bold Idea has been a truly rewarding experience for me. Not only do I get to share what I know about computer science to help kids build an interest in the field, constantly learning new things along the way as well. There's also the great relationships that I get to have with students and other mentors!"

“I really believe that the best thing we can do with our resources is to invest time the next generation of leaders as early as possible. Helping kids through Bold Ideato build confidence and teaching them to solve problems with technology is also a powerful way to inspire folks who might become our fellow Fins in 10 years! The time I have spent with Bold Idea has been some of the most personally meaningful to me in my continuing development as a servant leader.”

“What I love about Bold Idea is that it focuses on what kids can do rather than assuming the things that they can’t. Instead of talking at a group of kids with a one-size-fits-all curriculum, we work directly with groups of students and guide them through programming lessons, giving them the tools to build something for themselves. By taking their needs and interests seriously, we are able to have a more concrete impact on their lives.”
