Southern Fried Queer Pride is raising $15,000 to bring on our first part-time staff person, host more events, access more spaces to support DIY artists, and to begin work on a community arts center and venue!
Since 2014, Southern Fried Queer Pride has been building community through arts and activism across the South.
From cooking up festivals in Atlanta, GA and Durham, NC, to uplifting Southern queer narratives and culture, SFQP has been at the forefront of creating spaces for the most marginalized!
We have facilitated important dialogue around race, gender, and sexuality, curated provocative art galleries, birthed a brilliant Black drag stage production, and hosted an “iconic” Ball.
But the time has come for more! Southern Fried Queer Pride is launching a crowdfunding campaign to raise $15,000 to grow a stronger, bigger community across the South! With these funds, we will bring on our first part-time staff person.
This Head Chef will help us grow and host more diverse events, access and curate more spaces to support DIY artists and resources, and lay the groundwork to establish a physical community arts center and venue.
It’s going to take a lot of work and effort but we believe in our community! Consider donating today, and share with others! Queerly yours,SFQP.
