Warda lives in Arusha with her mother. Her father is deceased and her mother works as a housekeeper earning about $50 a month. She is a very determined student. Despite coming from severe economic hardship, she has managed to be an ‘A’ student outperforming most of her classroom peers. EAGF is sponsoring her education for the next two years at Kifungilo girls high school.
Shani lives with her mother in a small rented room in Dar-Es-Salaam. Her mother suffered a stroke resulting in her not being able to use one side of her body. She works at a small shop making $ 30 a month. She has been struggling to educate her daughter who has shown persistence and hard work in school. EAGF is excited to financially support Shani for the next two years as she begins her studies at St. Mary's Mazinde Juu high school. She hopes to go to medical school.
Judith is studying Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics at Marian Girls High school. Judith is working very hard at school to fulfill her dreams of becoming a petroleum engineer. She hopes to eventually study abroad and also help other economically disadvantaged girls like herself. " Elevate A Girl Foundation has given me the confidence to believe in myself and to know that I am not less than anyone because of my poor background."
