Ten's has anxiety problems which causes him to lash out sometimes, so he needs training and the training is a modest amount of money that I would need help raising.
I need to reach out for help with my dog Ten!
I've had Ten, a full breed beautiful staffordshire terrier 3+ years. I rescued him from a sad circus of changing owners during the first year of his life. Originally purchased as a puppy by someone in SF to be a family dog, with a high priced trainer, after a few months, the family decided they didn't want Ten. He then went to live with an executive assistant as a temporary care situation until a suitable home could be found, some training continued. The EA got tired of housing Ten, so he went to live with another owner, as a desperate option. This third owner lived in a 2 bedroom apartment with 3 roommates and another dog, another temporary situation. This is where I came into the picture, I was this person's neighbor, I started by occasionally helping care for Ten. After spending some time with Ten, I decided to take him in permanently. I have a small older chi-mix, and live alone (in a studio apartment). Ten has had high anxiety ever since I've known him, sensitive to sounds, sometimes coils in a shaking heap, even in the comfort of home. I registered Ten as his owner (never before registered). Mostly of kind spirit, he also regularly shows aggression toward large dogs. In the time I've owned him, he has viciously attacked 2 dogs, I have done a lot for Ten, several training techniques, advice from his former trainer, etc. I would love to keep him and hire
a professional trainer for him to be evaluated. It breaks my heart!!) I have found a trainer with an excellent track record however the cost is $4000. I feel that Ten deserves a try at this better life and I can’t imagine sending him to a shelter because he may not find a better home and may be euthanized. I'm hoping to reach out to anyone that may be able to help! I'm desperate. I'll do whatever it takes to make sure he's safe and that he wouldn't attack another dog ever again.
