Update #3

Quick update about the principle photos used in this campaign.

Earlier in the process there were security concerns regarding the party involved in creating this senseless tragedy and loss of mobility and freedom for Lucy. Jason, has graciously allowed us to update to two photos that show Lucy in her prime prior to the unlawful discharge of weaponry across public property, (for which there still has yet to be any disciplinary or punitive damages brought against the peraptrator!!!!!).

Due to the emotional impact of photos and videos post-incident, Jason is, understandably, taking his time releasing those. We understand how hard this is for him and Lucy and will post additional updates and photos as we can.

Thank you to all of our current donors and anyone that may donate in the future!!!

Lucy

That's my name. And Jason is my human.

About ten months ago our lives changed literally overnight by a terrible turn of events.  After a violent windstorm ripped the fence off of mine and my siblings' enclosure, I valiantly herded them back home as best as I could. After all, I am a working dog.  Upon heading home on the sidewalk I usually take for my walks, a man stepped out onto his porch and shot a 12-gauge shotgun onto public property twice, hitting my spine.

While I'm still alive, I've been left paralyzed and confined to doggy wheelchair, but these two wheels haven't held me back from showing my siblings that life is meant for smiles, sun bathing, and warm cuddles by the fire. Sadly, the human authorities have done nothing to the man responsible for maiming me or the felonies he committed by firing onto public land.  And to Add insult to injury, no one has been made to account for the medical expenses required to save my life.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

There is hope for Lucy, and her human Jason. Lucy has been given a prognosis that if she were to have medically relevant surgery from a team of neurosurgeons, she could lose the wheelchair and live the rest of her life as near normal as possible.  This would restore her mobility after it was so tragically stolen from her.

Following the campaign updates will be provided showing where all funds went to medical expenses and seeking those able to provide those medical needs.  Please, if you're able to, donate as little or as much as you can, or share this campaign with friends and  family members.

Lucy and Jason are both great friends of mine and to hear and see the tragedy befallen them is beyond heart wrenching. It is my sincere hope that the members of the ZooTT community and their friends and family help make a senseless tragedy right.  This is us saying that, "no matter if they're Zoo or not, an animal in need deserves every opportunity to be healthy, happy, and loved!"

Update #3

Lucy has been ecstatic listening to all the open hearted 2 leggers willing and able to help put her back on her feet. Every day she starts the morning hearing from Jason how much closer she is to being free of her wheels and it's so heartwarming to hear how her eyes light up!!

So far we've received donations from 5 supporters and ask that even if you're not able to contribute monetarily that a share goes a long way. Every share is a step towards freedom, running, and zooming around.

Thank you again to all current and future contributors!!
