Update #2

Sad news to share from Cathy today:

"Dear friends from all around,
Thank you SO MUCH for your incredible support for my mom's situation in these recent horrific days.
I'm shattered to say that this darling innocent angel died yesterday. She was only 60... A special car, organised by volunteers, was supposed to come and take her and my mother-in-law (caring for her) to a hospital, but she died a few hours before their scheduled arrival.
My mom lost the ability to walk in 2004, and she was suffering tremendously since then, being full of life and energy and just trapped in this body that betrayed her more and more each year. But she was also getting sick each day since I was 6, and my heart hurt for her every day since I was 6. That is MANY DAYS... I miss her already, but she's pain-free now, and that's what matters the most. Would she have lived for years more if not for this war? ABSOLUTELY

Update #1

Australia-based Ukrainian composer, Cathy Likhuta, needs our help! Her mother, Iryna, has lived with multiple sclerosis since Cathy was a child and is currently bedridden in Ukraine's capital, Kyiv (Obolon' District), as the city faces Russian attack.
Iryna's full-time nurse fled the city earlier this week to shelter with family, leaving Cathy's mother without vital medical intervention or home aid. Cathy's mother-in-law risked her own safety to travel to Iryna's aid and is currently staying with her but cannot get Iryna to a hospital for treatment as Iryna's health worsens due to the hospital prioritizing the victims of war.
The current plan is to secure evacuation from the city with a military convoy and set Iryna up with medical care in the safety of Poland - but the Likhutas need our help!
All donations to this fundraiser will go directly to securing Iryna's safety and medical stability in Poland. Any surplus in funding will be donated directly to Ukrainian defense efforts.

Cathy Likhuta is a beautiful, authentic soul and her music has touched the lives of many - she owes her strength and perseverance over many life struggles to the support and teachings of her mother. Thank you for any support you can spare at this time!
