Scared, scarred,  starved and now with bleak winter conditions, The majority of refugees come from Afghanistan, Sudan, Eritrean, Iraq, Iran and Syria. Around 500 people live in just one small wooded area they call the Jungle, and the rest live on open space, with no warm clothing and are suffering in these freezing conditions.

Most days they eat only once, when local charities give out a basic meal in the evening, some eat food or packs of yogurts that might be 6-8 weeks out of date. There are no showers for the migrants to use, few water pumps and a few toilets.

While they get no help from the authorities, there are charities like @Care4Calais that devote their time, effort and money to help the individuals and families.

Insha Allah, I will be going out for a few weeks to work as a volunteer to help in anyway I can. I will be driving down and Insha Allah plan to take as much of the Essential items as I can that the refugees can use during the cold winter.

For those that cannot donate the following items, please feel free to donate money.
