More Info

Hello,

My name is Kostya, and I was born in Kharkiv, Ukraine. I immigrated to the United States at age 12 with my family. In light of recent events in Ukraine, numerous people have been reaching out to me, wanting to help the people of Ukraine directly. Kharkiv has been under heavy bombing for multiple days now, and many people struggle to gather basic supplies like food and water. With most banks closed and ATMs empty, it is hard for people to get cash to purchase anything. Most people spend their days in bomb shelters, and the few hours that the bombings stop, they don't have enough time to buy anything as grocery store lines are enormous. Many people can't evacuate now because of targeted attacks on the vehicles leaving the city.

It might be challenging to find organizations that will deliver help promptly and have a real-time impact on the people. I have relatives that are still in the city of Kharkiv and are able and willing to stay and help people. I am collecting money that I will be directly sending over to my cousin who lives in Kharkiv. She will purchase supplies like food and water and deliver them to people in need or who cannot get them on their own.

I feel guilty sitting in the comfort of my home as people in Ukraine are fighting for not only their country but also their lives.

Please help me help the people of Kharkiv because, without my upbringing in Ukraine, I would not be the man I am today!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask me.

Thank you,

Kostya Romanenko
