I want to share with you a story...
that hopefully has a happy ending...
although at the moment it's looking a little glum but...
hopefully with your help we can turn that around.
It all starts a few months back in the UK...
Like many young lads Kieran left his home in the UK looking for fun and adventure (and good weather).
After sometime in South East Asia, Kieran continued his travels to the Sunshine Coast.
Once here like all good jiujiteros (lovers of jiu jitsu) after sorting out a place to stay, Kieran needed to find an Academy.
His search brought him to Temple.
Coincidentally he recognises a familar face on the mats at Temple...
A friend from his old Academy back home - Harry, who has also landed at Temple.
With that Kieran joined the Temple crew.
Despite his intimidating size Kieran is a very sensible training partner and really shows a love for the sport.
We've really enjoyed having him train with us.
So it was all rainbows and unicorns for Kieran - living the dream. Sunny coast life, working and training at Temple.
But an unfortunate event has put a spanner in the works...
You see, last Saturday on the last roll of Open Mat Kieran broke his hand.
And this has put him in a bit of a pickle.
He can't work for 4-6wks.
Which means he has no income.
Which means he may need to go back home!
So I'm asking you to see if we can write a happy ending to this story.
We've started a fundraising campaign to raise money so Kieran can afford to stay here while his hand heals.
We're just trying to get together some funds for him to get him through this rough patch.
I understand we're all doing it a bit tough at the moment, so I totally get it if you can't spare anything.
But if you can, even if it's just a little - that would be great!
Thanks so much.
We appreciate your support in this matter.
Cheers
Leevi
