My name is Brooke and my partner, love, and best friend, Nathan, has been wrongfully convicted for a crime he did not commit. Never in our wildest dreams did we ever believe they would turn into living nightmares, but unfortunately, that is the existence we now live. Following a two-day bench trial, Nathan was taken into custody. Without any physical evidence, Nathan was convicted for something he did not do and is now facing up to 60 years in prison. He is now incarcerated in jail awaiting his sentencing hearing that is scheduled for April 27th, 2022.

Nathan, overnight, went from being a free man, to being locked up in a jail where he does not belong. While he suffers a new, unexpectedly agonizing existence, his parents and I are working with a new criminal defense attorney to seek justice for Nathan. The attorney is helping us navigate the complex post-conviction process. Securing a new trial is the only way we can get Nathan out of jail and back to the vibrant life he was living before this nightmare occurred.

Nathan and I both live in Woodstock, Illinois and are active members of the local music community - Nathan is a long-time jazz drummer. For nearly 20 years, Nathan has pursued his love of music through teaching others how to play drums as well as performing in a wide variety of bands. He is a carpenter by trade and has been honing his craft for nearly a decade. We were hoping to get married later this year and I am committed to getting him out of jail.

Please help me and Nathan's parents, Grace and Charlie, bring the truth to light and prove Nathan's innocence. All proceeds will go directly to his parents. They are struggling to pay expensive lawyer fees– expected to cost nearly $50,000.

If you’re reading this--and have enjoyed our company and maybe even our music in the past--and you could donate $25 or more, it would help Nathan get closer to having his life back. I would be so grateful to have the chance to be reunited with Nathan, the love of my life, once again. Thank you for your time and support!
