Funds will go towards helping my cousin continue humanitarian aid in Ukraine, such as purchasing the van, getting gas for the van and purchasing medical supplies, toiletries, and food for people and pets.
Hi everyone, I'm Kristina, and I'm a 27-year-old Ukrainian-American born and raised in San Diego, California. I have family back in Ukraine. Two of my cousins have been displaced by the war, and another cousin, who is my age, stayed in Ukraine due to the mandate that men between the age of 18-60 must stay behind to protect the country. They are heroes. I want to do everything that I can to help Ukrainians in this war against evil.
I've started this fundraiser to help my cousin, Andriy, in Ukraine. He's located in the western part of Ukraine - L'viv. Andriy has performed at least 8 humanitarian trips to and from Kyiv - about 8 hours one way. He sometimes doesn't sleep for 30 hours because there is so much to do.
Andriy and his friends transport items like medical supplies and food to other cities to help the people and soldiers there. Andriy drove to Kyiv to pick up his grandparents when there was a curfew due to shelling by the Russian army.
Andriy and his friends have also evacuated abandoned dogs and cats, bringing them back to safety in the western part of Ukraine. Their bravery and compassion is heroic.
Unfortunately, the bus they were using to transport all of the items had to be returned to the original owner (their friend) who was called to a volunteer mission, for which he needed his bus back. Andriy and his friends are currently looking for a bus to continue this critical support.
Funds from this fundraiser will go towards purchasing the bus so that my hero of a cousin and his friends will continue their efforts. Any leftover funds will be donated directly to the Ukrainian army to support them in protecting Ukraine from the invaders
Glory to Ukraine!
