I am raising money to be able to cover upcoming medical expenses related to my current illness, End Stage Renal Failure and dialysis treatments. Many of the expenses pertain to medications and insurance premiums.
As time passes on, I am coming up on the 4 year anniversary of when I started this journey of chronic kidney disease. March 12, 2018 my life forever changed, I began life saving treatment, hemodialysis. It has been a constant struggle since day one but I continue to fight and not give up. Currently I am doing peritoneal dialysis treatments which allows me the freedom to travel and be able to work full time without treatments interfering with work schedule. As times are tough, unfortunately, I no longer have medical insurance coverage through employment and am having to seek private insurance coverage. In order to maintain active status on the transplant list in hopes of being called for a potential kidney donor, I have to maintain active medical insurance. Therefore, as I have done my research and due to my pre-existing medical condition, my insurance premiums are very high and make it difficult for myself to be able to afford it. A lot of my expenses specifically are pertained to covering prescription medications, doctor visits, labs, and paying for monthly premiums. It's been a difficult task but I have no other choice but to reach out to family, friends, and anyone out there whom is willing to help. The purpose of this campaign is to be able to raise enough funds to cover those upcoming expenses and be able to get back to 'Active' status on the transplant lists were I am registered in the state. I thank each and every one of you that took the time to read my story, share the link, and/or donate even $1. Every penny counts.
