Walk With Me!

Walk With Me!

From Savon Brown

I’m raising money to pay for a Stem Cell Transplant. I’m a GSW survivor who was shot 5 times. The bullet that hit my back injured my spine at the T7-T8 level causing paralysis.

More Info

My name is Savon & I’m 29 years old. I’m a father of 2 daughters, ages 8 & 5. My main goal is to be able to walk again so I’m able to enjoy life again as well as provide & care for my daughters like I used to. Since my Injury I’ve done both PT/OT as well as consultant multiple surgeons to see if any surgical interventions would help. Last November I was told by the surgeon that the only treatment that may help is if I have a Stem Cell Transplant to repair the damaged section of my spinal cord. I’ve applied for multiple trials for a Stem Cell Transplant but was denied almost every time due to my injuries occurring nearly 2 years ago. I’ve been in contact with multiple reputable facilities & found one that’ll do the procedure. The cost of the procedure is $12500, it isn’t covered by my insurance because the procedure wouldn’t be preform in the US. I work full time and is saving up for room/board, traveling expenses, etc. All in all, I appreciate all the help I get. No matter what I’ll continue to stay positive and determined to reach my goal of walking again. Thx for all the love and support!
