As a first year teacher, I am desperately in need of funding for classroom supplies and books. Think of an empty canvas and an artist who has no crayons, paint brushes, pencils, or chalk!
I am excited to announce that I will be teaching 10th grade English in Northeast Philadelphia at George Washington High School this September. I spent this past year as a Resident Teacher, studying under an experienced educator to prepare for this new role. While I didn't anticipate my first year of teaching to be impacted by COVID, I am excited nonetheless and looking forward to meeting my students for the first time! I want to create a classroom environment that is a welcoming, dynamic, inspiring, collaborative and safe space for exploration and literary discussion. I hope to encourage my students to write to be understood, speak to be heard, and read to grow. I need to purchase the full complement of classroom supplies including dry erase markers, bluetooth speakers, pens, pencils, paper, staplers, white-out, tape, desktop organizers, journals, a grade book, sticky poster paper, paper and binder clips, bulletin board materials, laminator, dry erase boards, books and much more! My students and I would love your support and we thank you in advance!
